Professional Biographical Information:

Carol Morgan retired as president of National Service Industries in December 2006 after a 25-year career with the company.  She joined NSI's legal department in 1981 and served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary before being named president in 2003.  Her particular areas of focus included mergers and acquisitions transactions, corporate governance matters, corporate ethics and compliance programs, and management of complex litigation.  Prior to joining NSI, she practiced for two years as an associate with Cofer, Beauchamp, Hawes and Brown.  During that time, she coauthored two books on probate law and guardianship law in Georgia.  Her third book, to be released in the fall of 2007, is titled Ignorance is No Defense, A Teenager's Guide to Georgia Law (co-authored with former DeKalb County District Attorney and husband J. Tom Morgan).  Today, Morgan, who remains a consultant to NSI, is a part-time instructor of business law at Georgia State University.  Morgan earned her B.A. with distinction from Rhodes College and her J.D. cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law.
