Why Georgia Law Needs
Your Support
Georgia Law welcomes gifts
from individuals, corporations and foundations, and facilitates the
use of those critical resources to help lift the law school to heights
it could not attain solely through public funding. Gifts to the law
school are used to provide scholarships for superior students, support
distinguished faculty scholars and researchers, strengthen research
and teaching programs, and build vitally needed facilities for law
school activities.
The Law School
Fund
The Law School Fund is the nucleus of the giving
program. Gifts of any size are welcome and may be made at any time
during the year. Each year, the Georgia Law relies on annual
contributions from its alumni and friends to provide essential
operating dollars. $650,000 is needed for the upcoming academic
year. For the law school to raise these funds, we need your help.
70% of annual contributions to the Law School Fund
directly benefit law students, particularly in the area of scholarship
assistance. All expenditures are approved through an itemized
budget request presented to the Law School Association Council and
voted on by the greater Georgia Law alumni body during its annual
meeting. Law School Fund contributions received during this
fiscal year are spent next fiscal year. Our fiscal year runs from
July 1 to June 30.
