Legal Tech Audit Training

By Jason Tubinis
Though the elements have conspired against us, our second set of Legal Tech Audit sessions is set to begin on Wednesday, March 4. At this session, we will be covering Excel. From basic project management to advanced timekeeping and courtroom presentations, Excel is one of the most important pieces of software that every attorney should know how to use. Topics will include formatting, formulas, and other advanced features.
What is the Legal Tech Audit? It’s a simple way of gauging your competence with the technology used most frequently in the practice of law. Come to all three sessions, complete an assessment for each, and get certified in the skills that are in-demand at law firms.

Law Dawg of the Month: Murphy

By Anne Burnett

This month's Law Dawg is Murphy, who belongs to 3L Courtney Broussard. Murphy is a rescue cat who loves playing with flowers, chasing his tail, and attacking human legs and feet (even while they are attempting to walk up stairs). Murphy also lives with 3L Hannah Jarrells and loves both his legal ladies just as much as they love him!

All members of the Law School Community (students, faculty and staff) are invited to submit a photo for possible selection as Law Dawg. The featured entry for each issue will be selected at random from all entries received. Please note that honorary Law Dawgs (i.e. those of the feline, equine, porcine, avian, etc. persuasion) are eligible as well. Please send your Law Dawg photo(s) to
