There are now eight carrels along the back wall of Annex 1, behind the book stacks. If you love a quiet, secluded spot for studying, try them out. As an extra bonus, each carrel features an adjustable desk chair.
Enjoy the new space, and let us know if there are other improvements that would enhance your productivity.

We are proud to introduce the Advanced Legal Exploration app: ALEX! ALEX @ UGA Law is the official app of the Alexander (see what we did there?) Campbell King Law Library, and has a bunch of useful features, including access to the library’s catalog of resources, view course reserves and check on their availability, and up-to-date library announcements, events, and hours of operation.
The app is available on the Google Play Store for Android devices and in the App Store for iPhones now!

Looking for recent or historical Congressional information? Then go to ProQuest Congressional! The Law Library's access now includes all U.S. bills and resolutions from 1789-present, Congressional hearings back to 1824, and a link to legislative histories in the Legislative Insight database. Also included in ProQuest Congressional is historical access to the U.S. Congressional Serial Set with access to House and Senate reports and documents and Executive Branch Documents, a wide array of documents produced by the federal government from our nation’s founding through the early 20th century. ProQuest Congressional even has the sometimes difficult to locate Congressional Research Service (CRS) Reports and Committee prints. Access ProQuest Congressional on the Law Library Research Resources page.
Law Dawg of the Month: Panda
By Anne Burnett
September's Law Dawg is Panda, a Great Pyrenees whose companion is 2L Roshani Chokshi. Panda spends most of his time asleep. His family thinks he's part luck-dragon, since he bears a remarkable resemblance to Falcor from the Neverending Story. He has yet to bring them any luck.
All members of the Law School Community (students, faculty and staff) are invited to submit a photo for possible selection as the Law Dawg. The featured entry for each issue will be selected at random from all entries received. Please note that honorary Law Dawgs (i.e. those of the feline, equine, porcine, avian, etc. persuasion) are eligible as well. Please send your Law Dawg photo(s) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
