Meet Jim Stipemaas
|
|
The
Law Library is pleased to welcome Jim StipeMaas as the newest member of
our Circulation Department. Jim is now the late night Circulation
Assistant and Stacks Manager. You will see him roaming around the
library from 5pm to 2am Sunday-Thursday.
Jim comes to the Law Library in a roundabout way. He first used the
library when helping his wife Skipper, a graduate of UGA School of Law
in 1992, with her research during law school. Little did he know that
20 years later he would return to work here. He received his MFA from
the University of Georgia in 1992 and is a practicing artist, showing
his landscape paintings in the region as well as in his home state of
Michigan. Jim has worked as a custodial supervisor, the Chief
Preparator at the Georgia Museum of Art, as a carpenter and electrician's helper, and as an art teacher at the Lyndon House
Arts Center.
So stop by the Circulation Desk in the evening to say hello to Jim!
