|
Look
for our display honoring Black History Month in the Carl Sanders Reading
Room right next to the doors to the Annex. The display was curated by 3L Rachel Caldwell along with Law Library Circulation staff
members Marie Mize and Jim StipeMaas.
In
the display you will find numerous books (yes, they are available for checkout!) as well as information on History Makers in Georgia, in Athens, at UGA, and at UGA Law.
Scan the QR Codes in the display with your phone or go to our History Makers: Black History Month Guide to access even more information about these important figures.

New Hein Database: American Indian Law
|
|
One
of the best features of our Hein Online service is that it contains materials
not available in any other service. A good example is the new collection of
American Indian Law which contains over 800 titles. In addition
to court decisions and administrative law rulings, the collection contains:
• Unique legislative histories
• Indian Reorganization Act, P. L. 73-383 (1934)
• Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, P. L. 92-203 (1971)
• Historic treatises and notable works
• Statutory Compilation of the Indian Law Survey. A Compendium
of Federal Laws and Treaties Relating to Indians
• Indian Affairs, Laws and Treaties, Vols 1-7 (Laws: Compiled to Dec. 1, 1902-1971)
• Constitutions, acts, and by-laws of numerous tribes
• Constitution and Laws of the Cherokee Nation: Passed at Tahlequah
• Constitution and Laws of the Choctaw Nation
There are a number of browse options at the top of the collection homepage
including legislative histories, CFR Title 25, US Code Title 25, and scholarly
articles. This collection also benefits from the sophisticated search options
found in Hein Online and all of the documents are PDF images.
