Spotlight on Carol
Humphries
|
|
When
you visit the library on Monday
mornings, you are likely to see Carol
Humphries at the Circulation Desk. Carol
has worked for the Law Library since
early 2007 as the Cataloging Assistant,
adding new items to our collection,
pulling superseded volumes, and
generally improving the resources in
our online catalog, GAVEL. This year she agreed to expand
her responsibilities by assisting a
couple of hours each week at our
Circulation Desk.
Carol is an active member of the Law
School Staff Council and of several Law
Library-specific teams. When you see
Carol at the desk or on her rounds, let
her know if you have ideas or
suggestions about the appearance of the
Library. You’ll also see her at the Law
Library’s Book Repair Clinic on the last
day of classes each semester.
Carol is also an avid supporter of the
UGA Women’s soccer team and the Lady
Bulldogs’ basketball team.

| Law
Dawg of the Month: Atticus |
|
The January Law Dawg is Atticus, a
rescued shepherd-lab mix and fabulous
companion to 3L (and Law Library
Research Assistant) Burke Doherty.
All members of the Law School Community
(students, faculty and staff) are
invited to submit a photo for possible
selection as the Law Dawg of the Month
in upcoming issues of Amicus Briefs.
The featured entry for each issue will
be selected at random from all entries
received by the issue's deadline. Please
note that honorary Law Dawgs
(i.e. those of the feline, equine,
porcine, avian, etc. persuasion) are
eligible as well. Please send your Law
Dawg photo(s) to aburnett@uga.edu.
