The Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice at The University of Texas at Austin School of Law invites submissions for an interdisciplinary conference on the theme “Inequality and Human Rights,” to be held April 7-8, 2016.
The Mississippi Law Journal will host a symposium on the Voting Rights Act on Thursday and Friday, April 7th and 8th, 2016, at the University of Mississippi School of Law. In conjunction with this event, Volume 85 of the Journal will include a Symposium Book that will feature scholarly articles discussing current voting rights and election law issues in Mississippi, the Southeast region, and on a national scale.
On the occasion of the ESIL 12th Annual Conference (Riga, 8-10 September 2016, titled “How International Law Works in Times of Crisis”) the ESIL Interest Group on the History of International Law (http://esilhil.blogspot.com/) hereby invites submissions, in English or in French, for its annual Workshop.
There has been a remarkable rise in the number of decisions issued by judicial and quasijudicial human rights bodies at different levels, especially during the last two decades. In this context, the role of universal and regional human rights instruments and institutions has increased, and thus more debate on their roles and impact should take place.
