The Graphic Justice Research Alliance (GJRA) is delighted to announce a call for papers for its 2018 annual conference at St Francis College in Brooklyn, NY. The conference will be held on 20 October 2018, and promises to be an exciting event that is accessible and relevant to scholars, artists, practitioners, policy-makers, writers, and the general public alike.
The GJRA is a multidisciplinary research network exploring the crossover between law and justice and
comics of all kinds.
The goal of the symposium is to bring together top experts from the nation and the region, including academics, researchers, borrower and consumer advocates, private attorneys, industry representatives, and government officials, to present research and discuss policy on post-secondary education non-completion and its relationship to student loan debt, including impact on communities of color and other protected groups.

Northern Illinois University College of Law will host a Junior Scholars Works-in-Progress conference at Loyola University School of Law on October 5, 2018. This event will offer junior scholars (those who have spent 7 years or fewer as full-time professors) the opportunity to present their works-in-progress, get feedback from their colleagues, and network with other junior scholars from the Chicago area and beyond. Articles may be presented in various stages of development.
