Paper proposals are invited for the Third Annual Illinois-Bologna conference on Constitutional History: Comparative Perspectives.
The conference will be held in Bologna, Italy, on November 13 and 14, 2017.
The conference keynote speaker will be Giuliano Amato, Judge of the Constitutional Court of Italy, former Prime Minister of Italy, and Professor Emeritus of the European University Institute and the University La Sapienza.
Ten years ago, a group of scholar-activists organized a series of conversations about law and economicclass. Building on “outsider” jurisprudence that has moved inequalities of race, gender, and sexuality from the margins to the center of law, the group proposed a jurisprudence of economic inequality. To foreground economic justice, the group sought to critique mainstream law and economics and to focus on the lives of poor and working class people.
The Northwestern, Penn, and Stanford Law Schools are pleased to announce the creation of a new Junior Faculty Forum dedicated to interdisciplinary scholarship focusing on the intersection of Law and Science-Technology-Engineering-Mathematics (STEM).
The forum will be held each fall, rotating among Northwestern, Penn, and Stanford. The inaugural forum will be held at Penn Law in Philadelphia on October 6-7, 2017. The forum is currently seeking submissions from junior faculty interested in presenting papers at the forum. The deadline for submissions is Friday, June 9.

A decade on from the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) in September 2007, the conference asks what progress has been made in securing indigenous peoples’ rights and what are the challenges remaining?
