Due to the significant breadth and reach of empirical approaches across fields, CELS has quickly become one of the premiere conferences in law and social sciences. Each year, CELS attracts upwards of 350 researchers from around the globe and across dozens of disciplines. Prior host sites have been the University of Texas (2006), NYU (2007), Cornell (2008), USC (2009), Yale (2010), Northwestern (2011), Stanford (2012), and Penn (2013).
