Call for Papers

International Conference: The Many Faces of Innovation
January 5-6, 2016, Bar-Ilan University, Faculty of Law &
Ono Academic College Faculty of Law , Israel

This international interdisciplinary conference brings together scholars,
policymakers, and practitioners, who are focused on different dimensions of
innovation to present and discuss their works-in-progress. Papers may
address various aspects of innovation, including, but not limited to –
(1) What is innovation and why we are celebrating it;
(2) Creating a climate for innovation in society, in the workplace, in the
government and in the judicial system;
(3) Lawmaking and innovation (e.g., in patent law, antitrust law, copyright
law, and tax law);
(4) The costs of innovation – what are we giving up (e.g., privacy, quality
and culture, efficiency, commodification, workplaces and more).

We welcome scholars, policymakers, and practitioners, working in a variety of
methodologies, including empirical analysis, law and economics, and
traditional doctrinal analysis, as well as scholars from different fields such as
sociology, economics, public policy, and other fields, to submit papers.
Participants will generally be expected to have drafts completed by late
November 2015, although work in a more formative stage may also be
included. Each author will provide a brief introduction, and most of the time of
each session will be devoted to collective discussion of the paper.
