Presidential Conference on the Integrity of Creation: Climate Change
This interdisciplinary, academic conference will occur each year to provide a scholarly forum for exploring a topic related to the general theme of the Integrity of Creation. The topic of this year's inaugural conference is climate change.
Invited speakers will present scholarly papers.
Vermont Law School will host the Sixth Annual Colloquium on Environmental Scholarship on October 3, 2015. This event offers environmental law scholars the opportunity to present their works-in-progress, get feedback from their colleagues, and network with those who are also teaching and researching in the areas of environmental and natural resources law, or any related specialty areas.
The growing complexity and specialisation of international law has given rise to calls for the constitution of courts, tribunals, and chambers operating in specific issue areas. International environmental law is a prominent example of this phenomenon; indeed, that call seemed to have been heeded with the creation of the ICJ’s Environmental Chamber, which seems to be a failed experiment.
