Law School Advancement

The Office of Law School Advancement organizes and implements the major gift-giving program for the law school, as well as the planning and coordinating of a variety of alumni and law school events throughout the year. This includes developing the overall strategy for identification, research, development and solicitation of prospective donors. The staff also plans and coordinates the Law School Annual Fund solicitation to alumni and friends.  Special events promoted by this office include Reunion Weekend, Law Dawg BBQ, regional alumni meetings and social gatherings, alumni events in conjunction with the State Bar of Georgia annual and midyear meetings, graduation, and faculty and staff programs.  Many of these events are underwritten by funds from the Law School Association (LSA), which are made possible by annual contributions to the Law School Fund. The office also coordinates meetings for the two alumni boards, the Board of Visitors (BOV) and the LSA Council (LSAC), and provides administrative support for both groups.
