The Equal Justice Foundation (EJF) is a student run, non-profit organization devoted to the promotion of public interest law and community activism. EJF was founded in 1987 to provide financial support to students pursuing public interest law careers, and to offer law students with unique opportunities to become involved in community service.
As one of the sole sources of funding for public interest law internships, EJF fulfills a vital role within the University of Georgia Law School community. Past recipients of EJF fellowships have interned at the ACLU, Southern Environmental Law Center, and the International Justice Office; as well as various public defenders offices, poverty law centers, and international human rights organizations both locally and throughout the world. As a result, law students gain vital experience in public interest law, later to become advocates for social justice.
Applications for EJF Fellowships are due Monday, March 31st, 2008 by Noon! Be sure to get your application in soon!
