One of the new initiatives for EJF is to promote Public Interest as a career option for law students at the University of Georgia. In meeting that objective, we are planning to help introduce students to the public interest concept through a variety of platforms including luncheons with public interest Practitioners, community service events, and the development of a public interest job information bank. Through these events, we hope that students at University of Georgia School of Law will realize that there are other career options for law school graduates if they do not feel that working at the big firm in Atlanta is for them.
