The Career Development Office has partnered with Bondurant, Mixson, & Elmore to host an on-site visit at their firm, featuring leaders in Georgia’s Governmental and Public Interest legal community. This event will take place on Thursday, February 22, from 6-8pm. This visit is open to all students. The visit will include a panel and Q&A session on public interest and governmental practice and will be followed by a reception to allow you to meet practitioners in these practice areas. The goal of this visit is to expose you to the culture of a professional legal environment, and also to give you the opportunity to meet, connect, and potentially form mentor-mentee relationships with attorneys practicing in public interest, legal services, governmental, and non-profit law. This is set up to be an educational event. This event is set up to function primarily as an educational experience. This is an excellent opportunity to explore this type of practice, while exposing you to the legal environment, better preparing you to interview, intern, and providing possible mentor relationships with attorneys working in public interest and governmental law practice. Transportation: Buses will be provided for this event. Participation is limited to 40 students. RSVP in Symplicity Professional Development Events or via email to profdev@uga.edu
