Rebecca J. Scott is the Charles Gibson Distinguished University Professor of History and Professor of Law at the University of Michigan.  Scott specializes in human rights, international and comparative law as well as the legal history of law and the humanities. She is known for her cutting-edge, interdisciplinary approach to the study of slavery and the law.
