The only summer program in the world entirely dedicated to the study of European Union law.
Study European Union law at the Institut d'Études Européennes of the Université Libre de Bruxelles through the Georgia Law Summer Program in Brussels.
Started in 1973, the ABA-accredited Georgia Law Summer Program in Brussels is open to 2nd and 3rd year students and is taught by officials of the EU Commission and Council, judges of the European Community Court of Justice, leading practitioners of EU law and distinguished professors from European universities.
The program offers courses on the history, internal market and major policies of the European Community within the European Union. Students receive 4 semester hours of credit toward their degree upon completion of the program.
Students interested in international law may also wish to participate in Georgia Law's Summer Program in China.
The Georgia Law Summer Program in Brussels features participation in a session of the Court of Justice of the European Communities in Luxembourg and a briefing by officials of the United States Mission to the European Union. Students also attend a lecture and briefing at the European Parliament and a meeting on the Belgian judicial system at the Palace of Justice of Brussels, as well as tour the Belgium cities of Bruges and Dam.

"For students interested in a career in international law or in Europe, the Brussels program offers a great way to enhance contacts and knowledge of the field. As official seat of the European Parliament, a powerful legislative body of the European Union, Brussels hosts a diverse mix of diplomats from all over the world."
