Georgia Law Summer Program in China

Study law at China's Tsinghua University in Beijing and Fudan University in Shanghai as part of the Georgia Law Summer Program in China.

Overview

This 3 ½ week program debuted in 2006 and provides a unique opportunity to study in China's two largest cities.

The curriculum provides an introduction to the Chinese legal system, with an emphasis on commercial law and U.S.-China trade issues under the World Trade Organization. Students receive 4 semester hours of credit toward their degree upon completion of the program.

Participating Georgia Law students may also have the opportunity to remain in China at the end of the program for an additional 4-6 weeks to intern with a leading international or Chinese law firm. Students interested in international law may also wish to participate in Georgia Law's Summer Program in Brussels.

Student Insight

"Studying in China was definitely a great decision, one that I would highly recommend.  The program has opened up the possibility of living and working in China.  I have decided to continue the study of Mandarin that I started in China, and I hope to one day be able to speak the language well enough to conduct business in China."
