About IP Law Society

Comprised of students from the University of Georgia School of Law, IPLS serves the needs of law students that are interested in patent law, copyright law, trademark law, trade secret protection, and publicity rights.

In the dynamic area of Intellectual Property law, IPLS strives to enable its student-members to stay informed of current issues and advances in the law, as well as general information about transitioning into the practice of law by organizing:

  • Perspective panel series - sharing of knowledge & stories from the lawyer's point of view
  • Perspective lecture series - sharing of knowledge in a particular IP area with a guest attorney
  • Social events - social hours between students or with guest attorneys
  • Informational meetings with law firms - law firm specific information with guest IP recruiters
