About IP Law Society
Comprised of students from the University of Georgia School of Law, IPLS serves the needs of law students that are interested in the following:
- Patent law
- Trademark law
- Copyright law
- Trade secret protection
- Publicity rights
In this dynamic area of Intellectual Property law, IPLS trives to enable its student-members to stay informed of current issues and advances in the law as well as general information about transitioning into the practice of law by organizing:
- Perspective panel series - sharing of knowledge & stories from the lawyer's point of view
- Perspective lecture series - sharing of knowledge in a particular IP area with a guest attorney
- Social events - social hours between students or with guest attorneys
- Informational meetings with law firms - law firm specific information with guest IP recruiters
