New Look New Signs

For the past few years the library staff has devoted considerable resources to improving the appearance and functionality of the physical space. One detail overlooked was actually identifying the library. In 1968 the Law School opened the addition which tripled the existing space in Hirsch Hall and added a three floor library. The entrance to the library was not always obvious to people; so after 36 years we have clearly identified the Alexander Campbell King Law Library. Black lettering was added to the glass doors. We also identified the entrance to the bridge (see picture above) and more clearly identified the J. Alton Hosch Law Library Annex. The Annex, opened in 1983, was initially designed as a separate library with its own front door and circulation desk.

HeinOnline Database

HeinOnline is an image-based, fully-searchable research collection. Currently there are more than 225,000 articles and 15 million pages in the database. All of these pages are PDF images, meaning they provide exact page images and enable the researcher to view all pages as they originally appeared in hardcopy-including all charts, graphs, and photographs. Also, the libraries in HeinOnline provide comprehensive coverage from the inception of each publication. HeinOnline is the perfect resource when photocopy quality is necessary.

HeinOnline has five major library collections: the Law Journal Library, the Federal Register Library, the Treaties and Agreements Library, the U.S. Attorney General Opinions Library, and the U.S. Supreme Court Library.

In addition to the journals published by all American and Canadian law schools, HeinOnline includes a large number of journals published by professional associations and private publishers.

Spring Break Hours

The Law Library has reduced hours during the week of Spring Break (March 12-19). During that week the library will open at 8:00, and close at 5:00. Saturday and Sunday will also see reduced hours. Normal hours resume on Sunday, March 20:
