Professional Biographical Information:
Wendy E. Moore plays an integral part of the University of Georgia School of Law's Alexander Campbell King Law Library staff.
Moore
joined the library staff in 1999. Since then, she has served as the
head of the acquisitions/serials department. In this role, she oversees
the acquisition of all library materials, the processing and updating
of serial publications, the binding of materials and the fiscal
management of all library material expenditures. Her job also includes
the supervision of four full-time staff members, one part-time staff
member and seven student assistants.
In addition, Moore is a member of the library
steering group that meets on a regular basis to develop written library
policies, solve problems and plan library goals. She also serves as the
chair of the collection development team. Other library teams she is a
member of includes: implementation oversight, systems,
acquisition/cataloging and budget.
Prior
to joining the University of Georgia staff, she served as the serial
librarian at the J.B. Duke Library at Furman University in Greenville,
SC. She was also a library intern at the Reinert-Alumni Library at
Creighton University in Omaha and a library assistant at the Art
Reference Library at the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha.
Moore holds two degrees. She first earned a Bachelor of
Arts in History at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN, in 1991.
She then earned a Master of Science in Library Science from the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1993.
Moore is professionally involved with the American
Association of Law Libraries (national and southeastern chapters), the
North American Serials Interest Group and the Georgia Library
Association.
