Cataloging Policy for Periodicals

Approved 10-04-00

Law reviews of a general nature for the United States and international law periodicals are classed in K1-K30. 

Subject specific law reviews for the United States and other subject periodicals are classed with the subject.
 
General law reviews and legal periodicals for other jurisdictions are classed with the jurisdiction in the parenthetical number for periodicals in the Library of Congress schedules.
 
Periodicals dealing with the law of a single state of the United States is classed with the materials for that state.
 
Periodicals which change titles but continue the numbering receive the same classification number. Periodicals which change titles and change numbering are given different book numbers.
