Even More Athens
We know, we've given you way too much information about Athens. But we
want you to love our city almost as much as we do. A few more ideas for things to do
and see in or near Athens:

The SEAALL Executive Board, Program Committee, and Local
Arrangements Committee invite you to attend SEAALL’s 2009 Annual Meeting in
Athens, Georgia, April 16-18, 2009.
Like Athens, the 2009 Annual Meeting will be a blend of the traditional and the
cutting edge. Traditionally the meeting features an excellent educational program
and a memorable opening reception. The same is true this year. The programs themselves cover the use of cutting edge technology in our teaching and library
operations.
Highlights
- A colorful opening reception in the State Botanical Garden featuring locally grown, organic food (see the menu) and the Puckettini, a cocktail created just for us and named for Ann Puckett, director of the UGA Law Library;
- Thought provoking speakers including Dr. Michael A. Covington, an expert in artificial intelligence and information retrieval and Dr. Jay Hakes, author of A Declaration of Energy Independence;
- The
opportunity to hear traditional and cutting edge music, be energized by
the atmosphere of dynamic, downtown Athens, or relax while strolling
through the historic university campus. See our Visiting Athens or Tours pages for additional suggestions.
