Mac Wireless Printing

 ** NOTE THAT THE COPYROOM SETTINGS HAVE CHANGED AS OF SPRING 2013.**

Mac OS X 10.5 - Current
(Set up for versions 10.3 - 10.4 should be similar.)
 

  1. Open System Preferences (from the menu under the apple) and click on the Print & Fax icon.
  2. Click the + button.

  3. Click the IP icon.
  4. From the Protocol menu, select Line Printer Daemon (LPD).

  1. Fill in the Address and Queue blanks and select a driver according to the following chart:

    * If the correct printer driver is not available, selecting "Generic PostScript Printer" will work in most cases, or you may download appropriate drivers from hp.com.

  3. Enter a Name and Location (whatever you choose) to identify this printer.
  4. Click Add. The new printer queue will now show up in your list of printers.
  5. To print to the new queue, select it in the print dialog of any application.
