Georgia Law graduates lead state in bar exam passage rate

Georgia Law alumni taking the Georgia Bar Examination for the first time in July 2009 posted a 94.5% passage rate, the highest of any school in the state.


Shipley to succeed Morehead as UGA faculty athletics representative

Georgia Law Cobb Professor David E. Shipley will succeed UGA Vice President for Instruction Jere W. Morehead as faculty athletics representative effective July 1, 2010. The faculty athletics representative, a position required under NCAA bylaws, is responsible for assuring academic compliance with NCAA regulations and academic success for student athletes.

Georgia Law graduating classes celebrating an anniversary reunion will have a candlelight dinner Nov. 6 from 6:30-9 p.m. on the North Campus quadrangle. The next day, a barbeque will be held for alumni, faculty, staff and students on the quad beginning two and a half hours before kickoff. Global issues expert to discuss morality in armed conflict

University of Utah Professor of Law Amos N. Guiora will deliver a lecture titled "Morality in Armed Conflict: Dilemma of the Decision Maker in Operational Counterterrorism" on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 12:30 p.m. The lecture is presented by Georgia Law's Dean Rusk Center in coordination with the Consulate General of Israel to the Southeast. It will take place in the Larry Walker Room of Dean Rusk Hall, located on North Campus.
