Georgia Law professors participate in 2012 SEALS Conference

Nine Georgia Law professors were invited to participate in the 2012 Southeastern Association of Law Schools Annual Conference as discussants and speakers for various workshops. The 65th annual conference took place July 29 - August 4 and featured panels, discussion groups and other presentations focusing on scholarship, teaching and service.

Verner Chaffin receives ALI's 50-year membership medallion

Callaway Chair Emeritus Verner F. Chaffin received The American Law Institute's 50-year membership medallion at the organization's annual meeting held in Washington, D.C., earlier this year. Chaffin was honored, along with eight other legal scholars nationwide, for his continuous service to the prestigious legal education society and was presented the award by ALI President Roberta Cooper Ramo.

Georgia Law is pleased to announce the winners of the 3rd Annual Firm and Corporate Alumni Challenge, which seeks to achieve 100 percent giving participation from Georgia Law graduates within an organization. Fortson, Bentley and Griffin of Athens, Ga., won category A  of the competition (organizations with more than 10 Georgia Law graduates), while Pope, McGlamry, Kilpatrick, Morrison & Norwood of Columbus, Ga., won category B (organizations with five to 10 Georgia Law graduates).
