Georgia Law moot court team takes first place in regional competition, advances to nationals

Three University of Georgia School of Law students joined forces to take home the top trophy at a regional round of the National Moot Court Competition held November 20-21 in Atlanta. This trio, composed of third-year students Marie E. Greene, Kevin P. Murphy and Ashley L. Scruggs, will now advance to the national tier of this tournament to be held in New York City during February.


Georgia Law welcomes members of the Brazilian and Liberian judiciary

Georgia Law is currently hosting 33 judges and court personnel from a number of states in Brazil as well as Liberia. This group has come to the law school to participate in the Dean Rusk Center's International Judicial Training Program, which seeks to facilitate reform by offering capacity-building judicial administration programs.


Jason M. Solomon delivers talk on regulatory theory and practice

Assistant Professor Jason M. Solomon delivered a talk titled "New Governance: Blurring Boundaries in Regulatory Theory and Practice" at the Transatlantic Conference on New Governance and the Transformation of Law held at the University of Wisconsin in November. He also served on the steering committee that organized the conference.
