Distinguished Research Professor & Shackelford Distinguished Professor in Taxation Law Walter Hellerstein spoke on a panel that addressed "Applying VAT to International Trade - The Challenge of Economic Globalization" at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's first Global Forum on VAT. This invitation only event, which included participants from over 70 countries, as well as representatives from business and academia, took place in Paris, France, during November.

Congratulations to second-year law students Kenneth J. Bentley and Amanda J. Shaw for placing second in the ABA Regional Negotiation Competition in Miami, Fla., and for earning the right to compete at the national tournament, which will take place in Dallas, Texas, during February.
