Georgia Law placed fifth in a recent study conducted by National Jurist magazine for the "Best Value Law Schools." The ranking considered average debt for 2011 graduates, tuition, cost of living, two-year bar pass average and state average and weighted employment rate. The article appeared in the September issue of the magazine.

Georgia Law regrets to announce the passing of Col. John "Jack" Murray, who taught at the law school from 1965 to 1976. During this time, he also served as associate dean and director of admissions. His areas of specialty were workers' compensation, contracts and criminal law. Murray passed away on Aug. 18 at the age of 94.
