White named to Who’s Who in Education list

Dean Rebecca Hanner White was included in the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2014 Who’s Who in Education listing.  Also appearing on the list were UGA President Jere W. Morehead and UGA Terry College of Business Interim Dean Charles B. Knapp.

Committee named to seek dean of Georgia Law

Rebecca Hanner White, who has served as dean of the School of Law since 2003, recently announced that she plans to return to the faculty after 11 years of service as dean. UGA Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Pamela Whitten has appointed a committee to begin a national search to fill the position of dean of the School of Law. It will be chaired by Svein Øie, dean of the College of Pharmacy. Whitten said she is pleased that White will continue to serve as dean while the national search for her successor is underway.
