Ringhand's research on the history of U.S. Supreme Court voting practices was mentioned in The Star-Ledger in regards to judicial activism and whether or not a conservative court or a liberal court is more likely to strike down federal laws and regulations. UGA celebrates Honors Week; three law professors recognized

Honors Week allows individuals at UGA to be acknowledged for achieving excellence. At Georgia Law, Cleveland Distinguished Chair of Legal Ethics and Professionalism Lonnie T. Brown Jr., Associate Professor Erica J. Hashimoto and Assistant Professor Christian Turner were recognized with the law school's three faculty awards that are given annually by its student body. 


Georgia Law finishes strong at two national competitions

Georgia Law recently finished as semifinalists and quarterfinalists in the Dean Jerome Prince Memorial Evidence Moot Court Competition and the South Texas Mock Trial Challenge, respectively. Out of the 40 teams competing in the Texas tournament, Georgia Law was awarded one of three Outstanding Brief Awards and third-year student Eric L. Roden was named Best Advocate of the tournament.
