Georgia Law prevails at intrastate moot court competition

Congratulations to second-year law students Andrew M. Bagley, Rachael D. Ivey and Samuel H. Sabulis who recently took home the championship trophy and the Best Brief Award in the Intrastate Moot Court Competition, which has teams from all five of the state's law schools competing against each other for top honors. This is the sixth consecutive year UGA has won this competition and the eighth consecutive year it has earned the best brief title.

Lori Ringhand receives a Congressional Research Grant

Associate Professor Lori A. Ringhand has been awarded a Congressional Research Grant from The Dirksen Congressional Center along with political scientist Paul M. Collins Jr. The duo will use the grant to expand the scope of their research on the U.S. Supreme Court confirmation process.

 


Paul Heald's article selected for inclusion in the Intellectual Property Law Review

Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Allen Post Professor Paul J. Heald's article "Trademark Infringement, Trademark Dilution, and the Decline in Sharing of Famous Brand Names: An Introduction and Empirical Study" was one of only a handful of intellectual property law articles selected for inclusion in the 2011 Intellectual Property Law Review, a yearly anthology published by West Group. Heald's article was originally published in 59 Buffalo Law Review 141 (2011).
