In Memoriam: José "Fico" Rodríguez

Georgia Law regrets to announce the passing of former Public Services Librarian Jose "Fico" Rodríguez, who worked in the Alexander Campbell King Law Library from 1967 to 1990. He passed away on Aug. 19.

Third-year law student Megan A. Cox placed third in the nationwide competition for Phi Alpha Delta’s Frank E. Gray Outstanding Clerk Award. This honor recognizes Cox’s work with the law school’s chapter of the professional law fraternity. Only 15 finalists were recognized as part of the organization's annual awards program.


Wilson publishes article in the Georgia Bar Journal

Third-year law student W. Matthew Wilson has published "The Best Evidence Rule Made Better: A Glimpse into Georgia's New Evidence Code" in the Georgia Bar Journal's August issue. The article was co-authored with Callaway Chair Emeritus Ronald L. Carlson.


Five faculty members earn promotions

Congratulations to the following faculty members who recently received promotions: Elizabeth Weeks Leonard (J.D.’99) was awarded the rank of full professor, Matthew I. Hall was named an associate professor, Lisa Milot and Christian Turner were promoted to associate professor with tenure and Hillel Y. Levin was granted tenure.
