Dodge delivers talk on Article III tribunals

Assistant Professor Jaime L. Dodge presented “An ADR Process Approach to Article III Tribunals” at the Sixth Annual Junior Faculty Federal Court Workshop held at Brooklyn Law School during October. The workshop pairs a senior scholar with a panel of junior scholars presenting works-in-progress. Twenty junior scholars were chosen to participate from nearly 50 submissions.

Search underway for UGA vice president for development and alumni relations

Dean and Hosch Professor Rebecca H. White and alumnus and U.S. District Court Judge Steve C. Jones (J.D.'87) have been selected to serve on a committee that will coordinate a national search for the university's next vice president for development and alumni relations. The committee will recommend finalists to succeed Tom Landrum, who will be retiring at the end of the academic year after nearly 40 years of service to the institution.


Georgia Law finishes strong in national civil rights moot court competition

Congratulations to third-year law students Ellen R. Clarke and Constance A. Parks for making it to the semifinal rounds of the Emory National Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition. Additionally, third-year law students Allison L. Hill and Antoinette A. Newberry took home the trophy for the best brief and finished as quarterfinalists.

Georgia Law was once again recognized as a “Best Value Law School” by The National Jurist magazine. The school placed 11th in the publication’s annual ranking that looks at which schools across the nation offer students the best investment in their future. The magazine analyzes tuition, cost of living expenses, bar passage rates, debt accumulation and employment success.
