Georgia Law has expanded its footprint to include the state's capital. Second- and third-year students now have the opportunity to participate in the new Atlanta Semester in Practice program that offers full-time, practical experience through placements in the judicial, government, corporate and nonprofit arenas.

Miller organized and presented on an Association of American Law Schools 2016 Annual Meeting panel titled "Creating and Publishing Teaching Materials - Navigating the IP Questions" during January. This was part of the new AALS Academy Program that is designed to appeal to participants across the full range of AALS sections.

Cleveland Distinguished Chair of Legal Ethics and Professionalism Lonnie T. Brown Jr. presented "In Defense of the Devil's Advocate" at the 110th AALS Annual Meeting in New York as part of a program titled "Ethics in Criminal Practice - the Hardest Questions Today: A Conversation in Honor of Monroe Freedman." The event was co-sponsored by the Professional Responsibility and Criminal Justice Sections of the AALS. The paper will be published in a Symposium Issue of the Hofstra Law Review.
