Callaway Chair of Law Emeritus Ronald L. Carlson's book Carlson on Evidence (with M. Carlson) was recently cited by the Georgia Court of Appeals in the case Lawson v. State regarding disputed evidence law issues on appeal. This citation brings the total to 65 times that this text has been used by Georgia appellate courts to resolve evidentiary issues.

Brown (who joined the law school staff in 2017) is now the assistant dean for admissions, diversity and inclusion & strategic initiatives, while Headrick (who has been with the law school since 2014) has become the senior director of law school advancement. Both lead offices of immense institutional importance and will help the School of Law realize its vision of being the best return on investment in legal education and achieve its goal of redefining what it means to be a great national public law school.
