Georgia Law alumna Valerie E. Caproni (J.D.'79) was featured in the Fulton County Daily Report regarding a lecture she gave at the university on how to balance national security and civil liberties.
Recent survey data appearing in The New York Times, comparing starting salaries and degree costs for a select group of law schools, has Georgia Law graduates earning some of the highest salaries in the country while their educational costs were reported among the very lowest, speaking to the quality of the education as well as the excellent return on investment provided at Georgia Law.
Twenty-two University of Georgia students, faculty and staff who have died since last May will be remembered at the university's annual candlelight memorial service April 28 at 7 p.m. at the University Chapel. John M. Conn Jr., a former law student, is among the students who will be remembered.
Georgia Law Dean Rebecca H. White was featured in Diverse magazine as one of the "First Ladies of Law."
Georgia Law alumnus R. Alex Crumbley Jr. (J.D.'66) will receive the John Holliman Jr. Award for Lifetime Achievement from the University of Georgia Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
