Exam Prep with CALI:
Looking for another tool to help give you an extra leg up for your exam preparation? CALI (Computer Assisted Legal Instruction) is a service available to all law students that include a ton of great resources as you start studying. There are individual lessons for common topics like constitutional law, civil procedure, administrative law, etc., subject specific outlines, and even lessons that compliment select casebooks. To create an account at www.cali.org but you’ll also need the UGA Law authorization code. You can find the code at the library’s reference desk, or you can email me (email@example.com) to have it sent to you. Good luck and happy outlining!
Bust a little of your exam-related stress by taking regular breaks to:
- stop by the giant Word Search puzzle on your way in and out of the front entrance
- add a piece or two or a dozen to the jigsaw puzzle on the Reference Desk
- head down to the basement for a little mini golf
- peruse a leisure magazine in the display shelf by the Circulation Desk as well as in the basket by the soft seating at the entrance
- check out a DVD from our collection in the Reference area
Dave Eveland graduated from UGA with a degree in psychology. Before joining the Alexander Campbell King Law Library, he served as an evening and weekend coordinator at the university's Science Library. Eveland’s library career includes 16 years at Washoe County Libraries in Reno, NV, with managing the Verdi Community Library as a highlight. An avid endurance athlete, he can be found on the trails around Athens or pulling for the Dawgs ‘Tween the Hedges.
November’s Honorary Law Dawg is Luna, a dilute tortie, who lives with 2L Zoe Ferguson. When she’s not studying, Luna enjoys hiding her toys, sitting on top of the refrigerator, and reading women’s magazines. Dislikes include vegetables and anytime she is not being paid attention. .
All members of the Law School Community (students, faculty and staff) are invited to submit a photo for possible selection as the Law Dawg. The featured entry for each issue will be selected at random from all entries received. Please note that honorary Law Dawgs (i.e. those of the feline, equine, porcine, avian, reptilian, etc. persuasion) are eligible as well. Please send your Law Dawg photo(s) w/ a brief description to firstname.lastname@example.org.
