Britney Hardweare joined Georgia Law in 2016 and serves as the global practice preparation assistant at the school’s Dean Rusk International Law Center. Her primary duties in this role include providing administrative assistance for all initiatives within the Global Practice Preparation portfolio, including Global Externships, summer study at the University of Leuven in Belgium, and events planning and implementation. She also supports the center as a whole.
Hardweare graduated from the University of Georgia in 2015. She earned a B.A. degree in international affairs from the School of Public & International Affairs as well as a B.A. degree in journalism from the Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication, which employed her as a CURO research assistant. She is proficient in French. The recipient of the Choate Family Scholarship from the university’s Disability Resource Center in addition to the Hope Scholarship, Hardweare helped lead orientations for the International Student Life department. She also served on the executive board of the Caribbean Student Association, which hosts the International Student Life Miss International pageant. Competing as Miss Jamaica in 2013, Hardweare was named the champion, and she organized the 2014 pageant as part of her service. After graduation, Hardweare completed a certificate in event planning at Emory University and also freelanced as a writer and graphic designer for small businesses in Atlanta.
