Biographical Information

Deborah Gonzalez is the founder of Law2sm, a legal consulting firm that focuses on helping clients navigate legal issues relating to the use of new and emerging media, including social media, online presence and digital entertainment. She also oversees a music law clinic for musicians at Nuci's Space, a nonprofit health and music resource center in Athens, Ga. Additionally, Gonzalez continues to practice with a private boutique in New York that she has been with since 1998.

Gonzalez has served as an adjunct professor with several universities in New York and New Jersey and has more than 10 years teaching experience. Upon moving to Georgia, she has held several positions with the University System of Georgia and served as of counsel for Timmons, Warnes & Associates where she focused on intellectual property law, digital and social media law, art law, and music and entertainment law. Gonzalez earned her bachelor's degree from Metropolitan College of New York and her Juris Doctor from New York Law School.
