Biographical Information: 

J. Michael Levengood is practicing law as a solo practitioner in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Before opening his own general practice, he was a partner at McKenna Long & Aldridge for more than 30 years where he represented clients in commercial and estate litigation, workouts and corporate reorganizations. Levengood serves on several non-profit boards and currently serves as chairman of the Gwinnett Health System. Levengood is regularly invited to speak on bankruptcy and litigation issues, and he was the co-managing editor of bankruptcy forms for the second edition of the book Norton Bankruptcy Law & Practice. Additionally, he has served as an adjunct faculty member at Emory University School of Law.

Levengood earned his B.A. and J.D. from UGA, where he served on the Georgia Journal of International & Comparative Law, was a member of the successful law school team in the 1979 Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, and served as chair of the Moot Court Executive Board.  He was inducted into the Order of Barristers in 1980.
