Biographical Information: 

J. Michael Levengood is a partner at McKenna Long & Aldridge, where he has practiced law for more than 30 years. Specializing in commercial and estate litigation, workouts and corporate reorganization, he chairs the firm’s Atlanta litigation department education committee and is a member of its national litigation training committee. Levengood is regularly invited to speak on bankruptcy and litigation issues, and he was the co-managing editor of bankruptcy forms for the second edition of the book Norton Bankruptcy Law & Practice. Additionally, he has served as an adjunct faculty member at Emory University School of Law.

Levengood earned his B.A. and J.D. from UGA, where he served on the Georgia Journal of International & Comparative Law, was a member of the successful law school team in the 1979 Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, and served as chair of the Moot Court Executive Board.  He was inducted into the Order of Barristers in 1980.
