Biographical Information

Justin R. Howard is co-teaching a course on mergers and acquisitions with Georgia Law alumna Susan J. Wilson. A partner in the Atlanta law firm Alston & Bird, Howard specializes in mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance. He has advised NYSE- and Nasdaq-traded companies regarding Securities and Exchange Commission periodic reporting requirements and related securities law matters. He has also advised public and private companies on corporate governance matters, including takeover defense. Howard earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Georgia, where he graduated cum laude and with honors from the Honors Program. His UGA law degree was also earned cum laude and he served as articles editor for the Georgia Law Review.
