Biographical Information

As a practicing freelance lawyer since 2003, Michala Meiselles-Jinks specializes in advising public sector clients and United Nations agencies on international commercial agreements by negotiating and drafting commercial agreements. She has previously served as a government solicitor in Preston, England, where she focused on commercial, construction and contractual litigation, and as an adviser to the European Commission in Lyon, France, where she provided advice and support on European policy and law to French businesses, public agencies and organizations. She has also worked as a solicitor with the law firm Berrymans Lace Mawer in Manchester, England, where she represented multinational and global insurance clients and practiced banking and finance law and construction and contract litigation.

In addition to her freelance work, Meiselles-Jinks is also the academic director for undergraduate and postgraduate law programs at the Université Jean Moulin in Lyon, France, where she oversees all law programs taught in English by assembling course sets, developing syllabi with faculty members and canvassing and recruiting academic and support staff, among other responsibilities. She also serves as a lecturer for European law and corporate and international business law courses.

Meiselles-Jinks earned both her law degree with honors and her Master of Laws from the University of Manchester.
