Ramsey H. Bridges joined Georgia Law in the fall of 2006 and currently serves as the school’s director of admissions. This represents an expansion of duties from her previous position as associate director. In her new post, Bridges oversees all phases of the admissions process for the Juris Doctor program, including application review, decision making, notification and the awarding of academic scholarships. She is responsible for the development and execution of the admissions office's recruitment and marketing plan for prospective and admitted students.
Bridges initially joined the law school staff as the assistant director of career services before joining the admissions team. In this role, her job duties included career counseling to students and alumni, judicial clerkship advising and management of both on-campus and off-campus interview programs.
Previously, Bridges practiced at the law firm of Troutman Sanders in Atlanta, Ga., as an associate in the labor and employment section. Bridges earned her bachelor’s degree in English literature cum laude from Vanderbilt University. She then earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from UGA, where she served as president of her class and managing editor of the Georgia Journal of International & Comparative Law. Bridges is also a member of the L.E.A.D. Athens Class of 2010, whose mission is to develop effective leaders committed to building a vibrant community.
