Biographical Information

Urs Peter Gruber is on the faculty of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz School of Law in Germany, where he specializes in civil law and civil procedure. His research includes national and international procedural law, private international law and the U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Gruber has also published more than 40 essays, about a dozen judgment notes and numerous book reviews. In addition to more than 10 years of teaching experience, which includes serving as a visiting professor at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey, Gruber has served as a judge at the Court of Appeals of the First Senate at Naumburg. He also currently serves as a liaison officer for the German National Academic Foundation.
