William B. Chandler III will be serving as a visiting professor at Georgia Law for the fall of 2012. He recently retired from the post of chancellor of the Delaware Court of Chancery, a position to which he was appointed in 1997. Previously, he served as vice chancellor of the court for eight years and was the resident judge of the Delaware Superior Court from 1985 to 1989. Chandler's other legal experience includes working as an associate at Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell and as legal counsel to former Delaware Governor Pete duPont. Additionally, he has taught commercial law, legislative process and remedies at the University of Alabama School of Law. Chandler earned law degrees from the University of South Carolina and Yale University and obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware.
