Classic Center Parking

For those of you driving in from Atlanta or just from your hotel, there is free parking at the Classic Center. Here's a map of the Classic Center so you can see where the parking deck is located.

Rideshare to Athens

A rideshare site has been set-up on eRideShare.com. Our colleagues in Atlanta are offering to pick-up people at the airport. Driving yourself? Don't do it alone. Connect with other attendees and share the expenses, share the adventure.
Thanks to Pam Brannon at Georgia State for setting up the site.

Hotel Accommodations

Our conference hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn.

The Hilton is overbooked and can honor only 70 of the 90 rooms originally blocked, and those 70 are already reserved. The Hilton will be able to provide the 20 additional rooms at the Holiday Inn, a pleasant six block walk from the meeting location. The Holiday Inn has a complimentary shuttle in case of inclement weather or mobility problems. The rooms at the Holiday Inn are $104 a night.

Call the Holiday Inn directly, 706.549.4433, to make your reservation. Be sure to say you are attending the Southeastern Chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries meeting. Do not use the online reservation system or an 800 number.

Because of the confusion and inconvenience, all of the rooms at the Hilton were reduced by $20, now $119 a night. Be sure when you check in at either place to tell them you are with SEAALL and double check to see that you get the conference rates.

Parking is $8 per day and sales tax and fees are 14%.

The entire hotel is a non-smoking facility. Guests have been asked to leave if they smoke in the rooms and have been billed for a deep clean of the room.

One of our colleagues recommended Hotels Combined. As described on the web site: "At Hotels Combined we rebate our profits to Students and Teachers Worldwide!" There are good price deals even without the rebate.
