2006-2007 Officers
President - Kellee Padgett
- Coordinates the mentoring program and welcome back party over the summer;
- Acts as liaison between WLSA and GAWL;
- Oversees all WLSA activities;
- Represents WLSA at law school functions;
- Ensures that WLSA meets its philanthropic goals and obligations; and
- Assists other officers in the overall planning of functions.
First Vice President - Tiffany Cartwright
This position is not elected, the 2nd VP simply progresses to the 1st VP.
- Plan and carry out Edith House lecture.
Second Vice President - Donyale Leslie
This position is a 2-year commitment because 2nd VP becomes 1st VP.
- Helps 1st VP planning Edith House lecture;
- Helps the President in the planning of events;
- Assists other officers in the overall planning of functions.
Secretary - Michelle Billars
- Take minutes & attendance at meetings;
- Send out thank you notes and invitations as needed;
- Check the WLSA mailbox on a regular basis; and
- Assist other officers in the overall planning of functions.
Treasurer - Brittany Grimes
- Keep track of WLSA’s bank account;
- Make all deposits of dues and other payments;
- Distribute checks as necessary;
- Balance the check book against bank statements; and
- Assist other officers in the overall planning of functions.
Publicity Chair - Lindsay Winzeler
- Maintains the WLSA website;
- Collects outlines for the outline bank;
- Coordinates publicity for events, including making and posting of fliers and stuffing mailboxes;
- Maintains the WLSA bulletin board in the mailroom;
- Maintains WLSA member listservs; and
- Assists other officers in the overall planning of functions.
